Simeon Sees Jesus’ Light

Simeon Sees Jesus’ Light

Memory Verse:
Luke 2:30-32 – “For my eyes have seen
your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all people. A light to reveal you to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”

3 Lessons to Learn:

  1. Trust God’s promises, because He is always faithful.

  2. Jesus’ light can guide you through sadness, fear, or confusion.

  3. Share Jesus’ love and light with the people around you.

Suggested Arts and Crafts:

  • Make a paper lantern with colored tissue paper to represent Jesus’ light.

  • Create a “Jesus’ Light” handprint poster using yellow and orange paints.

  • Make a small temple scene using cardboard and figurines for kids to retell the story.

Suggested Games:

  • “Follow the Light”: kids follow a flashlight or lantern through an obstacle course.

  • “Shine Your Light”: kids pass a small glowing ball around, saying one way to share Jesus’ love.

  • “Promise Match”: matching cards with Bible promises and illustrations of Jesus’ light.
