Have you ever waited a long time for something you really wanted? Maybe you prayed and hoped, but it felt like God was taking too long. In the Bible, there’s a man named Caleb who teaches us what it means to truly trust God for your whole life—even when things don’t happen right away.
Caleb was one of the twelve spies sent by Moses to explore the land God had promised Israel. While the others were afraid and doubted, Caleb and Joshua stood firm in faith. Caleb believed that if God promised something, it would surely happen. But because the people didn’t trust God, they wandered in the wilderness for forty years.
Still, Caleb never gave up. He waited patiently and kept believing in God’s promise. After forty-five years, when he was already eighty-five years old, God rewarded him! Caleb finally received the mountain land God had promised him. What an amazing picture of faith that never quits.
Caleb’s life reminds us that trusting God is not just about believing when things are easy—it’s about holding on, even when life gets hard or when others stop believing.
