The Prodigal Son – A Story of Forgiveness and a Father’s Love
Once upon a time, Jesus told a story about a young man who made a big mistake—but also discovered just how much his father loved him. This is the story of The Prodigal Son, one of the most beautiful parables in the Bible about forgiveness, love, and second chances.
A man had two sons. One day, the younger son said, “Father, give me my share of the inheritance.” He wanted to live his own way, far from home. So, his father gave him the money, and the young man left. At first, he spent it all on parties and fun. But soon, everything was gone. He had no food, no friends, and no place to stay.
Hungry and alone, the son decided to go back home and say sorry. He thought his father would be angry or reject him. But instead, when the father saw his son coming from far away, he ran to him, hugged him, and welcomed him home! 🎉 He even threw a big celebration because his lost son had returned.
This story shows us the heart of God the Father. Even when we make mistakes or walk away, God still loves us and waits for us to come back. When we turn to Him, He forgives us and welcomes us with open arms.
