Long ago, the Israelites were trapped in Egypt as slaves. But God sent Moses to lead them out to freedom! Pharaoh finally allowed them to leave after many miracles. But when they reached the Red Sea, something scary happened — Pharaoh changed his mind and sent his army to chase them!
The Israelites were afraid. They saw the sea in front of them and the Egyptian soldiers behind them. There was nowhere to go! But Moses told them, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the Lord deliver you today.”
Then God told Moses to raise his staff over the water. Suddenly, a strong wind blew all night, and the sea began to part! The water stood like two tall walls, and the ground became dry. The Israelites walked safely across the sea.
When Pharaoh’s soldiers tried to follow, the waters rushed back and covered them. God had saved His people! The Israelites sang songs of joy and thanked God for His power and love.
