A Bible Story for Kids About Faith at Home (2 Timothy 1:5–6)
Hi kids! welcome back to another Bible adventure! Have you ever learned something awesome from your mom or grandma? Today we’re going to meet Timothy, a young boy who became a great helper of Paul because of the strong faith of his mom Eunice and grandma Lois. Get ready for a story of family, faith, and fun!
Timothy was a kind and curious boy who loved learning about God. His grandmother Lois taught him the Scriptures with a joyful heart, and his mother Eunice added songs, prayers, and everyday lessons to help him understand. Day after day, Timothy listened, memorized verses, and saw their example of living faith. This planted courage and kindness deep inside his heart.
One day, the apostle Paul came to their town. He noticed Timothy’s sincere faith and kind character. Paul invited Timothy to join him on his journeys to share the Good News about Jesus. Timothy was still young, but because of the teaching and love from his mom and grandma, he was ready to serve. Together, Paul and Timothy visited churches, encouraged believers, and helped many people grow in their faith.
Later, Paul wrote a letter to Timothy. In it, he reminded Timothy of the sincere faith that first lived in his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice, and now lives in him too. Timothy became a trusted leader because of what his family had planted in his heart.
Kids, what can we learn? Faith at home is powerful. Even when you’re young, God can use you to do big things. And you can also pass on your faith to others through your actions, your words, and your love.
